Belmond Sanctuary Lodge is a boutique property with just 31 rooms and suites. They all offer king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms and if you feel like splashing out you can opt for one of the deluxe terrace rooms which have magnificent views of the mountains as well as a private terrace from which to enjoy them.

If you wish to unwind after a long day of hiking then there is a beautiful area dedicate to relaxation where yoga and meditation take place. Alternatively you can wander through the paradisiacal garden that is home to countless native plants and flowers, including the many types of orchids that grow around Machu Picchu. The garden is also a wonderful place to relax with a drink in the evening, looking out towards Huayna Picchu.

Being the only hotel adjacent to the the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu is a USP like no other. Guests staying at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge have the benefit of being among the first people into this incredible world heritage site each day. They can enjoy exploring from early morning to late afternoon, taking in this wondrous citadel when most of the day visitors have already departed on their journeys back to their own hotels.

Location, location, location. That's really all that needs to be said about Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. As this is the only hotel at the entrance to Machu Picchu guests here can enjoy a much more leisurely breakfast than anyone before heading off to explore. The bedrooms might be smallish but sleeping isn't the important thing about being here. We'd thoroughly recommend stretching to one of the rooms with a terrace as the views you get really are quite incomparable.

Belmond Sanctuary Lodge offers numerous packages for guests staying here so depending on the rate plan you purchase, breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
