Domaine des Etangs is a magical French castle that really does seem to be something out of a fairytale. Set in a landscape of waterways and woodland, teeming with wildlife and beauty, the castle itself is a beautiful historic building that has been immaculately restored. The 17 bedrooms are spread throughout the 11th century chateau and a collection of period properties in the grounds, making it a perfect destination to escape the crowds. Spend your days rowing on the lakes or wandering the vegetable garden and farm. As well as being a gorgeous romantic retreat for couples, families can also find their sanctuary here as this is a place that welcomes childhood laughter and nurtures imaginations. Art lovers will also love the art exhibition on the estate and the artwork throughout the property.

The ornamental gardens surrounding the Château are the work of unconventional landscape gardener, Camille Muller. Guests can delight in wandering the grounds, taking in the beauty at every turn and marvelling at the 2,500 m² spiral-shaped vegetable garden which produces an impressive collection of the best seasonal products for the restaurant to serve.

Domaine Des Etangs is a marvellous place for families. There is an outdoor playground that looks like something from a storybook, horse-riding for children aged 3 and up and fishing for those aged 7 and up. Playing is the name of the game here, whether in the playroom that is exclusively theirs, or in the course of entertaining and educational workshops or creative activities.
