All the villas at Gili Lankanfushi are over the water and have an overwater sundeck with loungers as well as a spacious rooftop deck with daybeds. In fact in general the resort really focuses on overwater living, with the bar and spa also perched above the beautiful Indian Ocean waters.
There are 45 one-bedroom villas across a range of categories, all over water but differing in size, starting with the 210sqm Villa Suites, and going up to the 250sqm Residence Villas and Crusoe Residence Villas. Finally for families or groups there is The Private Residence, a 1,700sqm decadent private palace with four bedrooms, reputedly the largest over-water villa in the world.
The resort’s basic rates are on a bed and breakfast basis but they also offer half board and full board upgrades. Whichever option you choose there is a wide range of dining options and cuisine to tempt you, so that no two meals need by the same. There is the By The Sea Japanese Restaurant the Main Restaurant & Underwater Wine Cellar and Chocolate Cave, and, on top of that the Overwater Bar. If that isn’t enough then the resort runs an exciting Destination Dining Plan, whereby they have a range of inventive and romantic destinations around the island to set you up private meals.
