The lodge itself is set within the heart of a mahogany forest, with the nine treehouse suites cradled in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees. Each treehouse has large windows leading out from the bedroom and bathroom to a spacious deck overlooking the forest floor below and an outdoor shower.

The treehouses are crafted from local timber and makati palm fronts and boast an exceptionally beautiful design, offering privacy and exclusivity in cool, leafy surroundings. The spacious decks are suspended above the forest floor and large windows blur the lines between indoors and outdoors. Elegant bedrooms within are fitted with contemporary furnishings with overhead fans and billowing mosquito nets over the beds. The bathrooms are a particularly special feature with freestanding baths looking out the forest beyond. Out on the deck is an outdoor shower for washing down under the stars.

The guest areas overlook various parts of the lodge such as the forest boma and there is an outdoor dining area lined with traditional dugout canoes lending a wonderful ambience to your meals. The interactive kitchen allows guests to watch as their delicious meals are cooked before their eyes, all the while enjoying the wonderful forest views.

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is found within the Lake Manyara National Park, a spectacularly beautiful wilderness with a huge diversity of landscapes and habitats. This is possibly the most impressive part of The Great Rift Valley, with towering escarpments dropping some 1640 feet down to the shore of the great soda lake. The park is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingos, its tree-climbing lions and huge elephant herds.

A number of airlines operate twice daily scheduled flights from Arusha Airport to Lake Manyara Airstrip, followed by a scenic 3.5hr drive to the lodge through the national park with game viewing on route.

It’s hard to beat the romance of sleeping in a treehouse in any case but when this comes accompanied by elegant furnishings, world class service and wonderfully unique things to do it takes things to a whole new level.

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is reached by daily scheduled flights from Arusha to Lake Manyara Airstrip, followed by a scenic 3.5hr drive to the camp.

Board Basis: Fully Inclusive. - Rates include: Accommodation, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, refreshments whilst out on activities, emergency evacuation insurance, transfers to and from the airstrip. Rates exclude: telephone calls, safari shop purchases, gratuities, champagne, cognac, fine wines, premium brand spirits and cigars, tourism development levy, park and conservancy fees.

In-room massages are available at the camp and there is also a massage sala suspended above the forest floor.

Children are welcome at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge although children 5 years and younger cannot participate in game drives. Children aged 6 - 11 can at the lodge manager's discretion. Childminding is available at an additional cost.

Please note that the camp is situated in a malaria area and the necessary precautions should be taken.

There are charging facilities in camp although please note that the generator is usually switched off over night. WiFi is available in the main guest area.

A 'Gym In A Basket' can be provided on request.
