Once a private residence, Le Sirenuse opened in 1951 as a luxury hotel overlooking the bay of Positano and today is considered one of Italy’s leading seaside hotels. Family owned and run the hotel still retains the intimate, cultured atmosphere of a private home.
The hotel’s 58 rooms are decorated with cool white-washed walls, antique furniture and hand-made Vietri tiles. Almost all of them look out over the bay of Positano and most have a private terrace or balcony.
Le Sirenuse is home to La Sponda, a Michelin starred restaurant that overlooks Positano and presents an unbelievably magical atmosphere each evening, with 400 candles illuminating the room and serving delicious Neopolitan cuisine prepared with local ingredients. For more informal meals guests can dine at the Pool Bar and Restaurant.
From May to mid-October guests at La Sirenuse can also enjoy the Champagne and Oyster Bar & Grill which is set on its own terrace with breathtaking views over Positano. This is the ideal spot from which to enjoy drinks, some oysters or a mouth water menu of grilled and fried Mediterranean specialties, all accompanied by melodious music and candlelight. Another recent addition to Le Sirenuse is Franco’s Bar, a stylish panoramic al fresco terrace that specialises in fine cocktails and champagne.
The swimming pool is reserved purely for the use of hotel guests and is surrounded by lemon trees and comfortable deck chairs. Guests can relax in peace and enjoy the beautiful views over the bay of Positano. Tables on the edge of the terrace also offer a laid-back setting to enjoy lunch.
Le Sirenuse is also home to a luxury spa, beautifully designed with teak wood, white marble and stainless steel, steps away from the Moorish architecture prevalent in the hotel and creating a modern and relaxing space. The Spa includes a Sauna, a Bio-Sauna, and a granite Steam bath. The gym is equipped with TechnoGym cardiovascular machines and weights as well as stretching and yoga mats.
