Once a private residence, Le Sirenuse opened in 1951 as a luxury hotel overlooking the bay of Positano and today is considered one of Italy’s leading seaside hotels. Family owned and run the hotel still retains the intimate, cultured atmosphere of a private home.

The hotel’s 58 rooms are decorated with cool white-washed walls, antique furniture and hand-made Vietri tiles. Almost all of them look out over the bay of Positano and most have a private terrace or balcony.

Le Sirenuse is home to La Sponda, a Michelin starred restaurant that overlooks Positano and presents an unbelievably magical atmosphere each evening, with 400 candles illuminating the room and serving delicious Neopolitan cuisine prepared with local ingredients. For more informal meals guests can dine at the Pool Bar and Restaurant.

From May to mid-October guests at La Sirenuse can also enjoy the Champagne and Oyster Bar & Grill which is set on its own terrace with breathtaking views over Positano. This is the ideal spot from which to enjoy drinks, some oysters or a mouth water menu of grilled and fried Mediterranean specialties, all accompanied by melodious music and candlelight. Another recent addition to Le Sirenuse is Franco’s Bar, a stylish panoramic al fresco terrace that specialises in fine cocktails and champagne.

The swimming pool is reserved purely for the use of hotel guests and is surrounded by lemon trees and comfortable deck chairs. Guests can relax in peace and enjoy the beautiful views over the bay of Positano. Tables on the edge of the terrace also offer a laid-back setting to enjoy lunch.

Le Sirenuse is also home to a luxury spa, beautifully designed with teak wood, white marble and stainless steel, steps away from the Moorish architecture prevalent in the hotel and creating a modern and relaxing space. The Spa includes a Sauna, a Bio-Sauna, and a granite Steam bath. The gym is equipped with TechnoGym cardiovascular machines and weights as well as stretching and yoga mats.

Le Sirenuse is located in the centre of the world renowned village of Positano on the Amalfi Coast. A favourite destination with the wealthy and celebrities, the village is constantly buzzing with people dining at exquisite restaurants, or mooring their luxury yachts in the bay before cruising into the village for a spot of shopping. Le Sirenuse enjoys spectacular views of the village and bay, in particular of the domed church that is such an iconic Positano sight.

Positano is 50km from Naples and guests staying here can also use it as a base to explore the nearby towns of Sorrento, Praiano, Amalfi and Ravello, spread out along the Amalfi Coast, all within a two hour drive. Pompei is also within each reach.

John Steinbeck summed it up perfectly at Le Sirenuse in 1953 – “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.”

Le Sirenuse offers guests a variety of complimentary activities and gym classes including Pilates, Flower Tours, Boat trips to lunch at Nerano Bay, Sunset Cruises, Visits to a local Limoncello Factory, Fish Market tours and Olive Oil Tasting.

Stays at Le Sirenuse are on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Children over the age of 6 are welcome although there are no specific childcare facilities.

Yearly refurbishments and renovations each season when the hotel is closed keep the property looking wonderfully kept.

Parking is available at a rate of €50 per day.
