The lodge itself is perched on the side of a beautiful valley, providing guests with incredible views from every aspect and non-stop game viewing opportunities. It’s also well placed for witnessing the annual ‘Great Migration’, renowned world over as one of nature’s greatest phenomena. Mzuri is the only East Africa property in the Virgin Portfolio, and offers guests the spectacular service and luxury one could expect from a brainchild of Sir Richard Branson.

The lodge has twelve beautiful and innovative tents, each looking out over the valley providing guests with their own window into the wild. There are 6 tents on each side of the main lounge and dining area, two of which can accommodate two additional guests for families with children travelling. Each tent has a spacious sitting area, a private deck area to relax on, and the ensuite bathrooms also look out over the valley, allowing you to even enjoy the views whilst soaking in your roll-top bathtub. All the tents cover approximately 106 square metres including the external decks, and two of the 12 tents can accommodate up to two additional guests on day beds. All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, insect repellent, sunscreen, extra blankets, ponchos, bathrobes, slippers, torches, a complimentary mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities and hotels water bottles.

Mahali Mzuri is located within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy to the north of Kenya’s famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Together the Motorogi and Olare Orok Conservancies cover approximately 33,000 acres but with strict limits on the number of guests that can stay within it’s boundaries at any one time, making it an exclusive area with prized game viewing territory.

Mahali Mzuri is particularly special as every aspect of the lodge is designed to make the most of the views; from the tents, to the main area, dining room and firepit, to the 12m infinity pool and even the spa. There is nothing quite like enjoying a massage whilst watching herds of zebra and wildebeest moving about before you.

Located 240km almost due west of Nairobi, Mahali Mzuri is best reached by charter flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport. The flight takes approximately 1 hour and it is then a 25 minute game drive to the camp.

Children over the age of 6 are welcome at Mahali Mzuri and there are special children's activities as well as books, games, kites, a TV, DVD player and games console in camp. Children sharing a room with at least one adult are charge 50% of the adult rate per person per night. Children over the age of 16 will be charged 75% of the adult rate.

There is complimentary WiFi throughout the camp.

During the high season of 14th June - 13th October rates include one complimentary day pass per adult to the Maasai Mara National Reserve when you book at least 3 nights.

Private vehicles can also be booked at an additional charge and there is guide accommodation.
