The lodge is divided into three camps, making up 30 stilted suites in total. Two of the camps consist of 12 suites and one of 6 suites. The division ensures an exclusive and intimate feel at each of the camps, which each has its own sitting and dining areas, as well as an extensive team of butlers to provide unbeatable service.
Each of the rooms at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is a thatched suite, filled with beautiful antiques and with floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the incredible Crater Views. There is a fireplace in each suite to add an extra touch of romance on chilly evenings and the en-suite bathrooms have grand chandeliers lighting up the freestanding bathtubs. With the every changing views influenced by the mists over the crater and wildlife beneath you can revel in waking up to a different sight each day.
Whilst many guests will come here purely to relax and revel in the delicious food and wine there is also a huge range of activitites on offer. Game drives into the crater can be accompanied by a crater floor banquet, or there are plenty of hikes to wondrous places nearby or bushman experiences for anyone wanting to learn about the fascinating local culture. It is worth bearing in mind though that Ngorongoro Crater Lodge does not operate in the way of traditional safari lodges in that not all of the possible activities are inclusive, some carry an additional charge and several must be pre-booked so please discuss with your specialist which you would like organised for you in advance.
