Six Senses Con Dao is the first five-star resort in this beautiful archipelago and is an eco-resort with a contemporary design reflecting the essence of a traditional fishing village. There are 50 private pool villas ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms and all enjoy beautiful panoramic ocean views. All villas feature stunning outdoor bathrooms. The contemporary design of the villas includes lots of natural open air space reducing the need for air-conditioning in parts of the villas. The bathroom and the living area are therefore open-air, whilst the bedroom is air-conditioned for guests comfort.

There are several dining options at the hotel, offering a range of Western and Vietnamese dishes at four different restaurants. ‘Vietnamese at the Market’ offers traditional local recipes, while ‘Deli’cious’ gives the choice of eat-in or take away. ‘By the Beach’ is the main restaurant, with panoramic ocean views and cooling sea breezes, specialising in local seafood. Finally ‘Destination Dining’ offers barbecues and picnics at any place of your choice.

The Spa is designed in the same eco-style as the villas and is set with the dramatic backdrop of the Lo Voi Mountains and is surrounded by tropical gardens. As well as the four indoor treatment rooms there are three outdoor treatment salas, a Yoga and Meditation Pavilion and Hamman Treatment.

Six Senses Con Dao is set on the island of Con Son, a 45 minute flight southeast of Siagon, in a protected national marine park with the Lo Voi Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop. Here you’ll find crystal clear waters with mountainous islands jutting out of them, open skies above, and very limited development. It’s a spectacularly beautiful area, reminiscent of southern Thailand before tourism overcame it.

The Con Dao Archipelago is made up of 16 islands which were originally settled by the British East India Company in 1702. More than 80% of the archipelago is a marine protected area and national park. Con Son is the largest island within the archipelago and is approximately a 45 minute domestic flight from Ho Chi Minh City.

The Six Senses brand can always be counted on to build in sensational locations given their philosophy of selecting destinations in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Six Senses Con Dao is no exception to this rule and the location really will take your breath away. It’s a wonderful spot whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or a great spot for the whole family. It is however rather cut off so for anyone looking for an active nightlife the slow pace and tranquillity of the area might not suit and you may be better off looking elsewhere.

Recognised as a 'Top Eco-Lodge' by National Geographic Traveller.

All villas at Six Senses Con Dao benefit from full sea views and their own private pool.

Children of all ages are welcome at Six Senses Con Dao.

They weather at Six Senses Con Dao is pretty temperate all year round. Rain tends to come in short sharp bursts as is typical for tropical climates. The warmest times of year are usually June, July and August with temperatures up to 37C but the sea breeze helps make these months feel cooler. March, April and May are slightly cooler and September through to January tends to be around 28C. From May to October is turtle nesting season and guests can experience the nesting and hatching. Diving is best from February to July as the visibility in the water is at its peak then.
