The Newt in Somerset offers 23 exquisitely decorated hotel rooms, spread though Hadspen House with views overlooking the gardens and its Stable Yard buildings and granary. No detail has been overlooked and the range of styles means that there is something to suit every taste.

Cold days here can be spent curled up by the fire or enjoying a Cyder Press and Cellar. When the sun is shining there is nowhere nicer to be than the Estate's immaculate gardens. The kitchen gardens are a wonder to behold as are the cascades, ponds and lakes throughout the estate. The woodlands and orchards surrounding the house are home to over 3,000 cyber apple trees and are the heart and soul of The Newt.

Just 30 miles from Bath, the Newt is in the perfect location for exploring this beautiful part of Somerset and the surrounding countryside. Trains arrive from London Paddington, Bristol and Exeter, direct to Castle Cary station which is just 10 minutes from the Estate. To drive from London takes approximately two and a half hours.

Since its opening in late 2019, The Newt in Somerset has been beguiling visitors who come from far and wide to visit the hotel, its gardens and its restaurant. Hotel rooms are spread throughout the stately Hadspen House, the stable yard and the granary with an exceptional range of styles and décor. The spa boasts a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool and a Himalayan salt room. Guests can enjoy playing croquet on the lawns overlooking the gardens or dining at a variety of fabulous eateries, with every plate of food featuring something from the Estate and its gardens.

Rooms from £275 on weekdays and £370 on weekends. Room rates include breakfast, use of the spa facilities, high tea, cyder and garden tours.
