The camp is made up of 12 tents, along with the dining, lounge and bar areas, all connected via snaking wooden walkways. The tents all have deck areas with wonderful views of the Zambezi, and each en-suite bedroom contains four poster beds draped in mosquito nets. Three of the 9 two-person tents can be made up as king-size beds, whilst the others are twin-bed rooms. The 3 family tents each encompass one main bedroom with a king size bed and a second bedroom with three quarter beds. All of the en-suite bathrooms contain a double vanity basin and an outside bath.

The main areas of the camp are exceptionally well done with everything guests could wish for. There is a pool to relax around in the sunshine, a fire deck and camp fire, and even a pizza oven which is particularly popular with children. There is Wi-Fi in the main area, and guests can also enjoy the luxury of a well-equipped gym overlooking the Zambezi and a health and beauty spa as well as a curio shop for any retail therapy.

As well as the huge range of things to do and adrenaline inducing activities around Victoria Falls there is plenty that is included in the nightly rate at Toka Leya. Inclusive activities include: game drives, guided tours of Victoria Falls, visits to local Africa villages, river cruises, children’s activities, guided nature walks and guided tours of Livingstone Town and Livingstone Museum. For an additional nominal fee guests can also go rhino tracking with a Department of National Parks and Wildlife ranger and go fishing on a catch and release basis.

Toka Leya is located in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, right on the banks of the Zambezi River and only 12km from Victoria Falls making it the ideal spot for enjoying a safari in the National Park whilst still being in easy reach of all of the many things to do at Victoria Falls. The camp is also approximately 12km from Livingstone so guests can explore the town during their stay as well.

Staying at Toka Leya is a great way to experience all that Victoria Falls has to offer, whilst enjoying the safari camp style of accommodation (albeit a particularly luxurious one) and some safari activities. For anyone with limited time in Zambia who is wanting to experience as much as possible in a short space of time this would be an ideal option.

Toka Leya offers two types of rate basis:

Fully Inclusive – includes accommodation, all meals, twice daily scheduled camp activities, park fees, all local drinks and laundry. Excluded from the rate are premium imported brands and champagne, gratuities, curio purchases and any other items of a personal nature.

Full Board – includes accommodation, all meals, park fees, laundry and all local drinks - excludes all activities, premium imported brands and champagne.

The camp can be reached by a flight to either Livingstone Airport in Zambia, or Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe. From Livingstone Airport it is approximately a 20 minute road transfer. From Victoria Falls Airport it would be approximately a 1hr15m transfer. Road/boat ferry transfers from Kasane are also possible and take about 1hr30m.

The camp can accommodate 24 adult guests and 6 children at any one time. There are twelve tents in total including six twin bedded tents, 3 double bedded tents, and 3 family tented rooms (each with two bedrooms, one king-bed and one twin-bed, and two bathrooms).

Children over the age of 6 are welcome at Toka Leya. Children between the ages of 6 and 16 must share a tent with an adult. The minimum age for nature walks and rhino tracking activities is 13.

There is Wi-Fi available in camp but only in the main lounge area.
