Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrada is designed in the style of a local village, nestled amongst lush green fields and towering mountains. This Sacred Valley of the Incas is a truly beautiful place and the emphasis here is on your surroundings and being 'at one' with nature. The villas are constructed in a traditional Inca style from local materials and decorated with natural rocks and wild flowers to bring the outdoors in. All 23 of them offer views of the majestic mountains around you as well as the mighty Urubamba River. Some of the bedroom have private terraces or gardens and there are 2 three-bedroom villas that are ideal for families. All the rooms and villas are kitted out with every luxury you could wish for such as heated bathroom floors, rain showers, complimentary Wifi and iPod docks. There are golf-buggies on site to transport guests around the property.

Dining and drinks can be enjoyed in both indoor and outdoor settings with delicious Peruvian cuisine featuring organic vegetables, spices and fruits from the hotel's organic garden. Guests can even enjoy handpicking ingredients to be included in their meals.

If the beauty of the setting isn't enough then there is the Spa Mayu Willka to encourage you to relax further, with an extensive menu of spa treatments, facials and reflexology as well as indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, a saint, steam room and Inca shower.

Days here are usually spent in a variety of outdoor pursuits with horse-riding, hiking, yoga, rafting and quad biking tours being particularly popular.

Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrada is set in the heart of the Sacred Valley, a location of extreme beauty, just 1hr10m from Cusco. Cusco Airport is 1hr25m away and the Ollantaytambo Train Station is 15 minutes away. Urubamba Town is approximately 5-10 minutes from the hotel.

This is one of the most beautiful places to just disconnect and enjoy being in the middle of nature in such a spectacular setting. Activities are focusses around really connecting you to nature here and Belmond have done everything possible to emphasise this. There are no TVs in the room as you have the theatre of Mother Nature all around you but should you crave that TV fix you can request one for your room. They will even set up a screen outdoors for you in the evening so that if you wish for a family movie night you can enjoy this whilst still being at one with your surroundings.

The Sacred Valley has two main seasons - rainy and dry. The rainy season tends from last from November to March, with the rains at their heaviest during January and February. The most popular time to visit Cuzco and the Sacred Valley is from April to October.

Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado is a 1hr25m drive from Cuzco Airport. Cuzco Airport is usually reached by a 1hr15m domestic flight from Lima.
