Blanket Bay sits within sprawling grounds dotted with trees on the edge of Lake Wakatipu. You reach the property via a long meandering driveway, snaking through green pastures dotted with sheep. The lodge itself is rustic and elegant, in true alpine style, with accommodation split between rooms and suites in the main lodge and further Chalet suites throughout the grounds. All are situated to make the most of the beautiful lake and mountain views and have a private balcony or terrace.

Stays at Blanket Bay Lodge are on a half-board basis, including complimentary use of all the sports equipment and facilities, as well as breakfast, pre-dinner cocktails and dinner. There is also a complimentary self-service bar available in the games room for use at any time.

As well as the entertainment to be found within the lodge itself, not only in the Games Room but also in the lodge spa, there is a huge amount to do in the area. Trips to Milford Sound are particularly popular, as is fly-fishing and heli fishing, hiking, and wine and arts trails.
