Entamanu Ngorongoro is accessed via it's own road that offers spectacular views down over the Southern Serengeti before popping up over the Rim to the immensity of the Crater below. This is far from the crowds, tucked away and remote. Miles and miles of Crater highlands extend in front and behind the camp.

As with all accommodation on the crater rim guests should be aware that it can be chilly in the extreme but the eco-fireplaces and heaters keep the camp nice and cosy and as all the en-suite bathrooms have hot and cold running water you needn’t worry about getting chilly after your shower.

The camp itself has been designed to be completely removable, leaving no trace on this iconic landscape and, as such, a huge amount of care has been taken not to disrupt the environment.

The six tents are all very spacious and beautifully designed, each raised up on a wooden deck and with directors chairs outside the tent from which to enjoy the views. All of the tents look down into the Crater, so you can enjoy your morning tea or coffee as you watch the sun rise over the spectacular sight of the world’s largest unbroken caldera in front of you.

Entamanu Ngorongoro sits in a remote spot on the North-western edge of the Crater rim. Reached by a private road the follows the line of the crater rim the views as you approach are spectacular and extend as far as the eye can see. The lodge is miles away from any other and its setting is completely unspoilt.

Surrounded by volcanic peaks the camp looks towards the sunrise over the Ngorongoro Crater whilst a wonderful sundowner spot at the back of camp is the perfect place for watching the sun set over the Serengeti Plains. The high altitude of the camp means the wind can be noisy and chilly and the camp has been designed to be a delightfully cosy spot as a result, with fires burning in the hearths of the lounge and dining room in the evenings and down duvets and heaters to ensure guests stay nice and snug at night as well.

Entamanu Ngorongoro is a classically authentic tented safari camp, perfect for anyone wanting a real safari experience. Its location is unbeatable and being in a position where you can watch the sunrise over the Ngorongoro Crater and set over the Serengeti is just mind-blowing. Whether as a one-stop destination or as part of a safari circuit around Tanzania this camp will suit everybody.

Entamanu Ngorongoro is Fully Inclusive. Rates include: accommodation, three meals daily, drinks (except champagne and premium wines), shared scheduled activities, laundry, transfers to and from the nearest airstrip. Rates exclude: non-scheduled transfers, private activities, park entry fees and concession fees, crater descent fees, Maasai activities.

Entamanu Ngorongoro is reached by regular scheduled flights from Arusha/Dar Es Salaam/Zanzibar and other areas of Tanzania, to Manyara Airstrip which is approximately a 2 hour road transfer to camp. It is also easy driving distance from Arusha, Tarangire, Karatu and southern Serengeti.
