Four Seasons purchased Desroches Island and after an extensive renovation re-opened the resort in 2017. It has brought new levels of luxury to the Seychelles but with a relaxed and casual vibe, encouraging barefoot living and bringing the outdoors in at every opportunity. Décor has been inspired by 19th century explorers and the vintage touches throughout the villas are timeless.

There are 71 bungalows, villas and suites on the island, some with direct beach access, others with private pools, and some with spectacular sunset views. The villa options have either three, four or five bedrooms and are perfect for groups of friends travelling together or large family groups.

The Castaway Centre on Sunset Beach is equipped with a wide range of sports equipment, and the Kids For All Seasons program is designed to keep youngsters happy and active all day long as they enjoy kids activities and get to know the giant tortoises on the island.

In true Four Seasons style guests at Desroches can enjoy a wide range of dining variety with four different culinary venues. With delicious cuisine in each but very different styles and specialities guests can enjoy having a wide range of delicacies to tempt them throughout their stay.

Desroches Island is one of the Amirante Islands, a cluster of remote coral atolls on the outer part of the Seychelles wider archipelago, considered to be some of the world's most pristine isles in the world. Desroches is reached by a 35 minute flight from the main island of Mahé. It is the only hotel on this beautiful island which encompasses 402 hectares and has 9 miles of sandy white beaches.

The international airport on Mahé is served by direct British Airways flights from London on certain days of the week as well as daily flights via various Middle Eastern destinations. Guests then board the Desroches charter plane to take them on the 35 minute flight to the island.

The relaxed atmosphere at Four Seasons Desroches is perfectly in keeping with the barefoot luxury vibe so synonymous with the Seychelles. The Lighthouse Lounge is a truly idyllic spot for sunset drinks and another very popular element of the island is The Deli where guests can assemble their own picnic basket for a day of island exploration.

Stays at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles are on a Half-Board basis. There is also the option to upgrade to Full Board.

Children of all ages are welcome and there is a complimentary kids club for children aged 4 to 12 years. Babysitting is also on offer at an additional charge.
