COMO Maalifushi is the first Maldives hotel to be designed by acclaimed Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi. His uncomplicated and classic designs have created beautiful villas, both on the island and over water, with pleasing neutral colour palettes that emphasise the beauty of the island and the surrounding turquoise lagoon. The villas are constructed from pine with thatched roofs and all enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows that let in a huge amount of light. The high ceilings and luxurious furnishings all combine to create a vast sense of space and tranquility within the villas. There are 33 overwater villas and suites, and 32 set on the island amongst the lush green jungle foliage.
On the island the accommodation is divided amongst Garden Rooms, Beach Suites, Two-Bedroom Beach Suites, Beach Villas, Two-Bedroom Beach Villas, a Two-Bedroom Beach House, a Maalifushi Beach Villa and a four-bedroom COMO Residence.
Set along jetties over the water are the over-water accommodation options which include Water Suites, Water Villas, a Two-Bedroom Maalifushi Water Villa and two Two-Bedroom COMO Villas.
All villas, on both land and over-water, have their own private pools. They can all be set up as king or twin bedrooms and come with all the five-star facilities such as complimentary Wifi, air-conditioning, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, a wide-screen tv, media hub and complimentary beach bag and flip-flops.
