The building dates back to the 12th century when it was a private villa for an Italian noble family. In 1997 it opened as a hotel and is now one of the world’s most luxurious properties and is also home to a two-Michelin star restaurant. A sense of the property’s history is felt throughout the hotel, with each of the rooms and suites decorated with antiques from the 19th and 19th centuries. All of the bedrooms have wonderful sea or mountain views and several also have their own private terrace.

With renowned chef Michele Deleo heading up the dining experience at Palazzo Avino guests can expect some real culinary delights during their stay. Rossellinis Restaurant is open for dinner and offers ‘a-la-carte’ or set menu dining. Terrazza Belvedere is the place to dine if you’re looking for some classic Italian pasta dishes to enjoy with the magnificent views of the coastline. This restaurant offers a more casual style of dining and is also home to the Lobster and Martini Bar that opens at 6pm. Finally there is also the stylish Caffé dell’Arte offering a range of delicious cocktails and light snacks.

Palazzo Avino also provides guest with a range of well-being options including a luxury spa with a hydro pool, sauna, Turkish steam bath and treatment rooms, a 20 meter outdoor heated swimming pool, an open air fitness suite and a rooftop solarium with two whirlpools, a relaxing place to enjoy the sunset along with a glass of Prosecco whilst soaking in the pool.

Finally Palazzo Avino has it’s very own beachside hangout for hotel guests, just a 15 drive from the hotel. A complimentary shuttle service to and from the hotel starts each day at 10am, and The Clubhouse by the Sea is open from 1st May until 15th October. It is found in the msall town of Marmorata had has several beach platforms with sun loungers, a small swimming pool, changing rooms and indoor areas in which to relax. There is also the Clubhouse Restaurant offering a range of casual lunch and snack options.

Palazzo Avino is a five-star hotel on Italy’s renowned Amalfi Coast. It is perched on the seafront, in the medieval hilltop village of Ravello, 350m about the blue waters of the Mediterranean. The hotel has wonderful views of the sea and the various picturesque fishing villages along the coastline. Naples airport is approximately 60 kms away, or Rome airport is 300km day. Alternatively the train station of Salerno is only 25km away.

In many ways the Amalfi Coast is comparable to the French Rivera, with glamorous towns along the coast and prices that aren’t too dissimilar. The Amalfi Coast has particularly dramatic scenery though with coastal mountains plunging into the sea below, picturesque towns and a rich history and culture. Palazzo Avino is no exception to this; being particularly beautiful, having a fascinating and rich history, and offering guests everything they could wish for from a luxurious seaside holiday in Europe. Being located in Ravello there is a huge amount to explore and do right on your doorstep, with plenty of restaurants to dine at and a good nightlife, and during the day the wonderful Clubhouse by the Sea is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun, perhaps with a cooling glass of Italian Prosecco or Rosé.

Palazzo Avino is open from 27th March to 31st October each year.

There is a complimentary shuttle service to the hotel's 'Clubhouse by the Sea'.

Stays are on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
