The building dates back to the 12th century when it was a private villa for an Italian noble family. In 1997 it opened as a hotel and is now one of the world’s most luxurious properties and is also home to a two-Michelin star restaurant. A sense of the property’s history is felt throughout the hotel, with each of the rooms and suites decorated with antiques from the 19th and 19th centuries. All of the bedrooms have wonderful sea or mountain views and several also have their own private terrace.
With renowned chef Michele Deleo heading up the dining experience at Palazzo Avino guests can expect some real culinary delights during their stay. Rossellinis Restaurant is open for dinner and offers ‘a-la-carte’ or set menu dining. Terrazza Belvedere is the place to dine if you’re looking for some classic Italian pasta dishes to enjoy with the magnificent views of the coastline. This restaurant offers a more casual style of dining and is also home to the Lobster and Martini Bar that opens at 6pm. Finally there is also the stylish Caffé dell’Arte offering a range of delicious cocktails and light snacks.
Palazzo Avino also provides guest with a range of well-being options including a luxury spa with a hydro pool, sauna, Turkish steam bath and treatment rooms, a 20 meter outdoor heated swimming pool, an open air fitness suite and a rooftop solarium with two whirlpools, a relaxing place to enjoy the sunset along with a glass of Prosecco whilst soaking in the pool.
Finally Palazzo Avino has it’s very own beachside hangout for hotel guests, just a 15 drive from the hotel. A complimentary shuttle service to and from the hotel starts each day at 10am, and The Clubhouse by the Sea is open from 1st May until 15th October. It is found in the msall town of Marmorata had has several beach platforms with sun loungers, a small swimming pool, changing rooms and indoor areas in which to relax. There is also the Clubhouse Restaurant offering a range of casual lunch and snack options.
