There are ten villas at Pumulani, each with a grass roof to blend in perfectly to the surroundings. Each villa has a large bedroom, which opens out onto a private deck area overlooking the lake. The en-suite bathrooms also offer wonderful views and contain a bathtub, double shower and ‘his and hers’ sinks. Each villa also contains a spacious sitting area. The family villa also has an additional twin bedroom with an extra bathroom as well.
The main part of the lodge consists of a spacious open restaurant, bar and a cosy fire area for any chilly evenings. Beyond this is the infinity swimming pool with its surrounding deck and sun loungers and a walkway then leads down from the pool to the villas and the beach.
When it comes to how to spend your days at Pumulani, if you’re not one for relaxing by the pool or on the beach then there is still plenty to do. Inclusive in the cost of your stay is snorkelling, fishing, sailing, nature walks, kayaking, sunset cruises on a dhow, mountain bike tours and village tours. At an additional cost there are also a range of motorised water sports available.
