One of the most exclusive boutique hotels in the West Indies
Just 50 rooms and suites, each with it's own private terrace
Home to one of the best restaurants on the island
The Sandpiper has just 50 guest rooms within the property, some suites and some bedrooms and also some two-bedroom suites. All have their own private terraces as well as lovely views over the gardens, pool or Caribbean sea. A dash of Caribbean colour and flair lend a homely touch to the rooms which are all spacious, light and airy.
The Garden View Rooms and One Bedroom Suites work best for couples, whilst the Two Bedroom Suites work well for couples or families. Both the One and Two Bedroom Suites have a separate living room with sofa bed and a kitchen.
There are also two ocean front Beach House Suites which can be connected with each other and also with the Tree Top Suite 'Curlew' should guests wish for a three bedroom villa.
The luxurious Tree Top Suites are the hotel's highest category of rooms and consist of a bedroom, spacious living room, dressing area, opulent bathroom, and a large covered terrace complete with a wet bar and plunge pool. These suites have beautiful sea views and do not accommodate children under the age of 12.
The Sandpiper is set on the west cost of Barbados, in the island's Saint James region. This beautiful part of the coastline is otherwise known as the Platinum coast and The Sandpiper has a prime location right on the beachfront itself. Just two minutes down the beach lies the hotel's sister property, Coral Reef Club, where guests can take advantage of the Spa.
One of the first things that strikes you about this beautiful hotel is the easy-going charm and atmosphere that resonates throughout it. Guests return here year upon year, after falling in love with the relaxed style and meticulous service that makes any holiday or honeymoon here such an absolute pleasure.
Stays at The Sandpiper are on a Bed & Breakfast basis, but should they wish guests can opt to include a dinner supplement should they wish to stay on Half-Board.
Children of all ages are welcome for the majority of the year with the exception of 20th January to 28th February each year when the hotel operates as a strictly adults-only property. Babysitting is available at the hotel at an additional charge. Guests with children under the age of 5 should also note that the children will not be allowed in the restaurant or lounge after 7pm.
There is no Spa or Boutique shop at the hotel itself, but both can be found just down the road at it's sister property, Coral Reef Club.
Between 1st July and 11th August there are various complementary children's activities for those between 2 and 8 years from Monday to Friday. These include three half hour sailing lessons, swimming lessons and two hours per day of supervised childcare.
