This remote 3 bedroom camp can only be taken on an exclusive use basis, with a minimum of 3 adults, providing the most incredible private villa in the desert. All three bedrooms are en-suite, and can have double or twin bed set ups. The villa is a spacious wooden structure with canvas sides in a similar design to the other Wolwedans lodges. The canvas sides can be rolled up to offer uninterrupted views of the sand dunes beyond.

The villa has an open-plan design and is decorated with classic antique pieces. The lounge is filled with leather sofas and leads out onto the deck, which is also equipped with seating areas. There is a ‘sala’ with a lounger that is perfect for enjoying afternoon siestas, just relaxing and curling up with a book, or converting into an additional sleeping area for children. There is also a study and a fully equipped kitchen. Recently added is a small plunge pool which overlooks the camp’s waterhole, so you can cool off in the heat and, if you’re lucky, watch as the wildlife comes to drink in front of you.

Wolwedans Private Camp is a private three bedroom villa located in a dune valley of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, south of Sossusvlei in southwestern Namibia. The reserve covers around 200,000 hectares and encompasses a huge diversity of landscapes. Of particular interest in the reserve are the fairy circles – mysterious bare circles in the sand that stretch along the borders of the Namib Desert and have yet to be explained despite numerous scientists researching their origin.

Wolwedans Private Camp can be used as an entirely self-contained property and guests can opt to have their own private guide and vehicle for activities. Alternatively if a smaller group or couple take the camp then they can opt to share activities with guests from the other Wolwedans camps.

As the camp can only be taken on an exclusive-use basis, children of all ages are welcome. However due to age limits on activities at the other Wolwedans camps, families will need to book private activities if their children are under the age required for certain activities.

There is no mobile phone signal, or wi-fi at the camp. However at the main Wolwedans reception there is WiFi available.
