Zawadi is a small boutique hotel, on Zanzibar’s south-east coast, that sits atop a cliff, with a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean, framed by swaying coconut palms and bougainvillea. At the centre of the property the cliff recedes, creating a lovely unspoiled beach cove of pristine white sand, just a few steps from the lodge. Guests can enjoy swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean throughout the day and can go snorkelling straight from the beach. There is also a swimming pool and small spa.

There are just nine spacious villas here, dotted along the cliff, each encompassing 100sqm with en-suite bathrooms and a spacious terrace directly overlooking the ocean. For guests who want to take advantage of the Water Sports Centre, Tennis Court or Spa at Zawadi’s sister hotel, Baraza Resort & Spa, a free shuttle service is available at scheduled times. Zawadi Hotel is located on Zanzibar’s south-east coast, with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and it’s own private beach. It is a one hour drive from the airport and a 20 minute drive north of Paje. The hotel sits atop a cliff with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. In the middle of the property the cliff recedes, forming a charming little sandy beach which guests can access via a short staircase leading straight onto the sand. In front of the beach lies a lagoon and even during low tide this is a good spot for swimming and snorkelling.

The driftwood beach décor of the hotel really symbolises the understated elegance of Zawadi. This is a place with no dress code, where guests can really relax and enjoy the beautiful location. It’s peaceful and quiet and the private beach cove is a really tranquil spot. Having access to the sea even at low tide is also a real bonus as at so many other Zanzibar hotels the tide can retreat miles out leaving you with no option other than the swimming pool.

Guests at Zawadi can also take advantage of the shuttle service that can take them back and forth to Zawadi's sister hotels, 2km down the road, where they can use the tennis courts and Water Club for a wider range of watersports such as kite surfing, sailing, and boat excursions.

Zawadi is a fully inclusive property. Included in the rate are the three mean meals per day, in-house alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, mineral water, tea and coffee, use of gym and tennis court (at Baraza), snorkelling equipment rental, kayaks, reef shoes rental, wi-fi, scheduled shuttle services between Zawadi and it's sister properties.

Rates do not include: airport transfers, tours and excursions, laundry, room service, spa services, cappuccino or espresso.
